Remote Manager Set-up for GSD Intrusion application
The GSD Intrusion application uses TCP/IP to communicate with the Remote Manager. Currently, the GSD Intrusion application uses the local loop IP address range 127.x.x.x, where the panel account number is inserted into the 127.x.x.x. Remote Manager needs to be set up to listen on the local loop 127.x.x.x address for any connection attempts by the GSD Intrusion application.
1) Run up Remote Manager.
2) Click on the [Sessions] menu item and select the [New] menu item. RM will display a new [Session Configuration] page.
3) Give the new session a name by entering a name in the [Session Name] edit box.
4) Then click on the [Session Type] drop down list box and select GSD IP from the list.
5) Click on the [SSH Server 1 IP] edit box and enter the IP address of PC that is running the SSH Server and WebWayOne’s MCT application.
6) Click on the [Save] button. Click on the [Modify] button and the [Edit properties] button. The following form will be displayed.
7) Make sure the settings are as shown.
Default user code = 1111
Default engineer code = 6666
1.Start the Remote Manager and log in to a configured connection which is set up as Complex.
2.In Remote Manager, click on the connection -> View Properties and copy the port number.
3.Open the GSDWin Intrusion application. On application start up, first Create New Site -> Create new Intrusion Site and give it a name. Following the creation of a new site, on subsequent uses of the PC application, you can select ‘Open Most Recent site’.
4.In the GSDWin PC application, click on ‘Panel 1’ and select ‘TCP/IP’ and ‘Static IP’.
5.In the IP Address field, enter the IP Address encoding of your six digit ARC account number, in the format specified in the Remote Manager’s Complex Ethernet Configuration. Example: For account 1614, the padding of a full six digit account number 001614 needs to be encoded in the IP address as: 127.00.16.14. For account 123456, the IP address is 127.12.34.56
6.In the Port Number field, enter the port number of the Remote Manager connection from step 2, or leave as the default 9761 if 9761 is the same port number used in the Remote Manager connection configuration.
7.Click Apply.
8.If the Remote Manager connection is correctly configured and logged in, the panel should appear as online in the PC application, followed by an initial checksum mismatch message.
9.On a new site, after clicking ‘OK’ on the ‘Database checksum is not valid’ message box, the Intrusion Sync window will appear
10.If you have a slow Internet connection, we recommend using the ‘Fast IP mode’ setting.
11.In the Intrusion Sync window, select ‘ Upload from panel’. This will start an initial upload of the configuration from the GSD i70 Panel to the GSDWin PC application.
Note: this step is only required after a new site is created. Subsequent uses of the site database will only require downloads or saves in any of the screens on the right (System, Devices/Zones, Timers, etc.)
12.If you wish to perform a full configuration download to a panel:
Click on ‘Panel 1’ and select ‘Intrusion Sync’ -> Download To Panel
Note: Performing a full configuration download to a panel (Intrusion Sync -> Download to Panel) will default the panel and overwrite any existing information.
